Lagerfeld will make an appearance at London department store Selfridges on July 24 - three days before the Games begin - to launch a space dedicated to his eponymous brand, Karl Lagerfeld, off-shoot line, Karl, new premium ready-to-wear line, Karl Lagerfeld Paris Man, as well as a pop-up shop housing an Olympic-themed capsule collection entitled Team Karl.

Items in the pop-up shop, which will be situated on the store's third floor, will include limited-edition T-shirts created in collaboration with London design agency I Love Dust - one of which will feature an image of a discus-flinging Lagerfeld, reports WWD .

Lagerfeld lovers can also look forward to Karl-themed window displays at the store's main Oxford Street entrance.
As yet there's no word on whether the designer will be sticking around to partake in some Olympic commentary following on from his extremely popular coverage of the Royal wedding and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations . We hope he does - it would certainly make the Olympics a whole lot more fun for us.
